Those around, wishing to happen, and now. No longer at a station.
Wishing to see or be seen
To interrupt or to be
To not in full or full in slight of eye
This public vision of all and one
And them therein there is me
Who has seen enough to speculate
And to surmise what all could’ve been
If I
Had stayed stuck
In the eyes of others relationally
And waited forever at the train station
Where transactional life
Only ever seeeeeeeeeems (to happen)
Was and is, paid out
Settled
Sorted
Years of lifelong yearning
Just like earning reported
Only show so much
In love and taxes paid
Before such present days
Of earning
And being
Of which I am
Sum
If then when
A life lived
Without purpose or plan
Though still technically life
Will more than probably be
No experience of mine
As I am not that gifted
In the art of being without
A true directional purpose
Or even meaning in mind
Being bent forward
For suee
A long gone instant, crack of maple
Thunder cracks
The world is changed
And in watching we
Can do nothing but in awe
Be at the arc of time
At the sound of shining outcomes and skies
Which glisten and glow
Above this red white and blue
Homeland of mine
Going, going, gone from the first moment of storm
Goodbye
Haiku of human ways and weariness
Tired still is no crime
Just as life itself does not
Come without response
A harsh truth
A harsh truth
Resides not just in knowing
But in the act of adjusting
For that understanding of self
Which only comes with time and words
And a realization of changes
Which has never before surface
In the face of such an obvious smile
And it’s ok do do neither
Smile or frown
A tanka for the self focused youth of yesterday
Herein lies the truth
Which saddens me most surely
About this old you
In this time of new impart
It is never about us
Explosions of self discovery
If one thing can
In becoming once more
Grow into and beyond
And become
Then it should
Into a new existence with an explosion
Boom
Hearing and breathing out this tanka
Let the breath of this
And my sound of self breathing
Be a reminder
Of how this beating heart needs
To be a beat and a breath
So little, now
So little exists
In this day and age
Which is not of man
Or about us
Or intended for
The most distraction of most
And I see this as now
So much so
A more problem than ever
Since our need is no longer connection at all
But the devil which we now know
As distraction
Known
The space beneath the fading stars
Quiet moon-waves
Sounds of night just above
Circle down and around
This upward looking head of mine
And suddenly
I am transported
And neither here nor there
But as a weightless leaf
Or a feather in flight
I am now lifted beyond
And raised up into the bright
Sonar-ish glow
Of this lonesome sky
Satellite
Where the atmosphere is born
I breathe
Such a me, is me
All the uncertainties of before
Culminating into
A sea of responsibilities now
Is no less, or more, welcome to me
As I was back then
So I still am still
And yet I’m more
And more and more
For such a me
Is me
My mind, my heart
This heart
This mind
Would carry on
Regardless of is
And when
And would be
Whatever
And if need be
Find
A new way of being
Perhaps
But
But never the same
For sure
Would it ever be
Having once been
With you
And still
I am unmoved
Even in thought
Saria
Dreams alive anew
Dreams alive
Pass by more quickly
Than blinks of eyes
And beats of hearts
Can ever count
And we
As those who see
And live
And breathe
Are
The caretakers of these moments and memories
Until forever is just a dream
And a mind becomes
A kind of earth
Midst one again
And then some
New
All at one in service
Are we not all
In service to either
Ourselves
Or others
All at once
Or one time for
Just one or the other?
Perhaps
And yes
Most of us that is
And the few who
Tend to get stuck in between social contracts
If a man is undone
If a man
As one thing
Finds himself
Without a certain need
An inborn desire
Or somehow without a cause of being
They
As surely as he is a man
He is probably home
Be it with his make or un
For we men I find
Are always on something
In some way
Or concerned with someone
Be it only ourselves
And so this will be our way
Until this mortal
Metal molded coil
Is undone
