Reality is
Anyone can write
About a dream
But reality
In all of its
Glass and mirror
Dimensional glory
Demands a pen too
And is the challenge
More
How wishes die quietly
A wish
No longer exists
But dies again
Once it’s done
And real
And finally felt
In the existence of life
In this
Here and now
And then instead
A new wish exists
Again
Heart engines
I trust my word
I know my heart
It’s the other eyes
Who see my capabilities and wish
To use such for their own benefit
A heart
An engine
A core to exist
Or so I have, or have been
In the past this this
Was even part of my thought
To exist
But now I am
In being
Far more than that path
Would ever lead me to be
For now I am more
Than what they may or may not
Think I am
Now, without proof
I am me
Most definitely
A hearts evolution
A followers heart
No longer beats
To push blood
Though this middling body of mine
Instead, and much less singular
It is with eyes and new mind
With bright blue fire and new light
That I get to announce and to wish
To set forth new challenges for which to strive
Together, for once
Graveyards rich
Somewhere out there
In a rich graveyard
There still lives
Many fountains of memories
And fast fading minds
Set to die
As we all will
As we all are
In our choices though we may yet be
Alive still
And moving some
A direction, a choice
Here scripts
A last will and testament
Of choice
As where you go isn’t given
But how you resist
Or choose to rest
As the sunlight fades
This is the very essence
Of superior solution
And steady voice
Now choose
Who help themselves with both passion and forethought
Opportunistic prayer
Is one thing
But put me in a room
With time and stance
And space to show
Just how much care and effort
A man of mind can extend
And I
Surely will not
Disappoint
Such an opp
In glistening
The trick I find
In glistening eyes
Is to
With a most consistent ingenuity
See now what you see
But look also through the frame of years
Past what might not
And yet not at what you think of as could
But truly at
And also into the eyes of those
And what they could be
As well (as you)
Regardless, regardless
Turn a page
Or answer back
With either goals achieved
Or new prospectus sent
Regardless
The next breath arrives
The next will rise
And every moment will pass
By like birds in the sky
Regardless and at last
How we speak and don’t
A final word
Is not to be expected
From a man of deeds
And goodness done
But
You may get it none the less
But only may
And probably won’t
Sadly
A chosen pain
A pain like this
Is most frustrating, yes
And yet chosen by me
A most willing man
Was
Before I was fully grown
Perhaps I said
Yes, I will
And I did
And will now
Suffer the consequences
Of those short days long gone
In the sun most fun
And yet the taxing still
In the sunset of now
Nail of truth
Every once and awhile
We humans swing a hammer
So close to the nail of truth
That our efforts shimmer
And in a dazzling arc
Strike closer to what is
Than ever before
And spark
Waiting for a forever train
We are all just waiting
Or walking
Or working
At a train station
For plane
Or bus rest
For stopping
Until we’re all gone
One by one
And home
Aka not here
Fearless I say and hope
A fearless man
Should fear only God
And perhaps slightly those betrayals
Which would cut off blood from the heart
Or breath to the lungs
Or hope from the mind
I say
So I think and find
We look into screens
And into air and eyes
All around and yet without
Stopping to simply live
To be thankful for these
Our own senses and self
For our own smiles and eyes
Facing out
And these I think
Are blessing and states
Of being beyond compare
Or so I think and find
A most curious tanka
The most curious
Thing about people I see
Is that they were you
Once upon a time before
Just as soon like them you’ll be
Pour out
Pour out my soul to no one
In a quiet corner of this intuitive imagination lost
Unfound
I stand
The most assured and straight
As once a young man was (I) without cost
Spending time
In search and worth
Unbound by earth
Midst mind and sky
Of this now I’ve become most certain and sure
It is he and not I
Until my faith calls me home
As he knows and knows
Where my heart and words can be found
In this life and in the next
Most alive
My thanks
